Cabinet Approves Vaccination of People Aged between 18 years and 35 Years. Over the past couple of days, there have been reports that only few people turn up at vaccination centres. Although a lot of people pressured the government to solicited vaccine, there are some out there who are still skeptical about getting jabbed.
It was all excitement when acting Health Minister, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane announced a major boost to South Africa’s Covid-19 vaccination plans. The vaccines were now being made available to more age groups and on weekends. As on 15 July, those aged 35-49 years will be eligible to register for a vaccine, and start receiving the jab from the 1st August 2021.
Many will be happy to know that the vaccine roll out pace has once again picked up. The Covid-19 vaccines are now open for everyone who is 18 and older. This will be effective from Friday 20 August 2021. The 18-35 age group will not need to register to vaccinate and will be allowed to walk in for vaccinations.
