Social media is filled with messages of condolences as opposed to good news posts. Just today, we most South Africans woke up to the sad news that renowned actor Mutodi Neshehe has passed away.
Neshehe started acting when he was four years old with the guidance of his mother Thelma Neshehe, who starred in several movies and soaps. When he was 14 years old, he was sent to school in America because of the constant threats to his family by organizations from the previous government. After 15 years in America, Neshehe returned home to South Africa in 2004 and has made a great impact on the acting community.
In the short time he has been in the country, he has been in 8 films, 7 TV shows and over 50 commercials both local and international. He has also solidified himself roles in hit TV shows like “Muvhango,” “Jacob’s Cross,” “Skwizas,” “Generations: The Legacy” and more.
Sadly The talented actor passed away on Thursday 01 July at the age of 46. The family which asked for privacy during this difficult time is yet to communicate the cause of death. Apart from his impressive professional CV, Neshehe was a people’s person loved by the masses. He was also a doting father to his beautiful daughters. His death has sent shocking waves across the country and beyond.
