Blood and Water Clocks One Year Anniversary. Indeed time flies when you are having fun. It sure feels like yesterday when we were introduced to the vibrant students of Parkhust High. On this day in 2020, Blood and Water premiered on Netflix in over 190 countries.
Blood and Water lead actresses Ama Qamata who plays Puleng Khumalo as well as Khosi Ngema who plays Fikile Bhele, celebrated this milestone. Coincidentally the budding stars, who are also best friends were together we they realized what day it is. They took to IG to share a video of themselves together celebrating Blood and Water’s first anniversary. How coo is that!
The series made waves across the world becoming the first South African original to reach number 1 on Netflix US France, Bahamas, Jamaica among other countries. International stars who sang the praises of the Blood and Water include American actress Gabrielle Union and her husband Dwyane Wade. The two revealed that they can’t wait for season II of the series.
Fans will be happy to know that season 2 of Blood and Water finished filming in March and is expected to premiere later this year. The African original Netflix series is making a major come back with fresh faces. Among the new addition is, Leroy Siyafa, who will play Sam. The hunky Sam, is a new love interest mixing things up in the Parkhurst after-school scene.
Another new face at the school will be Reece who is played by, Greteli Fincham. The talented actress and model will be introduced to two of her new friends, Pauline, played by Katishcka Chanderlal and Zayd played by Alzavia Abrahams. We definitely can’t wait.
