Pics! Inside Azania Mosaka’s 20th Year In Radio Broadcasting Surprise Celebration. She is among the growing army of women, who continues to show that it’s possible. It goes without saying that the radio broadcasting industry is dominated by men, hence it is not easy for women to last or let alone make a breakthrough. Having noted that, we have the likes of Azania Mosaka, who has been making waves as a radio presenter for the past 20 years.

To celebrated the legend her friends, family, colleagues as well as well wishers organized an epic surprise party for her. Azania thought she was accompanying her sister at an event with African chic as the dress code, was all pleasantly surprised as she walked into her own party. Another media personality and good friend Melanie Bala, was also part of the organizing team, as well as the MC for the day.

“I am almost back down to earth. I experienced the true meaning of epic. A surprise like no other. The dearest and nearest people in my life came together to form an “LOC” to plot and plan a celebration to mark my 20th year in radio broadcasting. After a year of reflection, growth and discarding what didn’t serve me, I was gifted a moment to pause and reflect on a 20 year long career doing something I love and enjoy. A moment to sit and savour grace and gratitude. These are just some of my people. They saw me worthy of a surprise ya mhlaba. A surprise to top even my wildest expectations. My sister said “please be my plus one to an event with African chic as the dress code” and I said “yeah sure”. Only to find that a ply had been hatched for months,” Azania gushed.

The organizers made the day extra special by interviewing Azania’s former and current colleagues as well as her bosses to tell the story of her career as others witnessed it. “I know I am loved, and this is one of the countless moments where I am reminded of this fact. Imagine the shock of walking into a room that is a stage to look back at your career. The Interiority of my career. Thank you family.
