Lerato Kganyago Encourages Women To Be More Vigilant When They Are In Certain Places #HumanTrafficking

Lerato Kganyago Encourages Women To Be More Vigilant When They Are In Certain Places. The human trafficking hashtag is once again trending on Twitter. Women and children in South Africa continue to live in fear as human trafficking incidents escalate. Many people are pointing a finger at foreign nationals, as catalyst of human trafficking.

It looks like this is a battle that will not be won anytime soon. This is because a growing number of cases are reported everyday with no perpetrators being brought to book. Having noted that, it is heartwarming to see celebrities like, Lerato Kganyago, use their status too sensitize the nation.

The award winning media personality and DJ, took to Twitter to give women tips on how to be more safe. Lerato urged women to always leave in a group when they are out having fun. She also urged women to never accept drinks from strangers. This is not the first time Lerato addresses women on this kind of issue, and we hope other celebs, and the government will also do their part.

Ladies on a night out!!! ALWAYS leave in a group. Have fun but drink RESPONSIBLY. DO NOT TAKE DRINKS from strangers! FYI, SOME bar tenders are paid to spike your drinks. If you can, rather buy a sealed drink and open it up yourselves,” she said.

Actress Mona Monyane also added her views on the sad reality of human trafficking.
