Levels! Mzansi Film To Close Pan African Film Festival
Levels! Mzansi Film To Close Pan African Film Festival. Talk about a massive recognition. A locally produced film has been given the honor to close the Pan African Film Festival.
The film, Zulu Wedding, which was directed and produced by South African Leneo Sekeleoane has been selected as the last to show at the big film event. The Zulu Wedding film tells a story of a South African woman who is living in America, and learns that she’s been traditionally engaged since birth to a Zulu king.
The on going Pan African Film Festival will end on Sunday and showcases over hundred and fifty quality new films. It goes without saying that having a film chosen to close off the event is a big achievement.
Minister of Arts, Sports and Culture showed his support by calling on South Africans to join in the celebration of Zulu Wedding’s achievement.
“Join us in celebrating one of our own home brewed films, ‘The Zulu Wedding’ as it will be closing the Pan African Film Festival this coming Sunday in Los Angeles. An achievement such as this one, makes our nation proud. Keep raising our flag high,” he said.
