Simphiwe Ngema Goes Down Memory Lane With The Last Song Dumi Masilela Recorded. It might be two years since we lost him but Dumi Masilela’s memory lives on. This is all thanks to his widow Simphiwe Ngema.
The actress and singer has done the most to keep the legacy of her late husband alive. One of the things Simphiwe did was to finish the album that Dumi was working on before he passed, and it is doing so well.
On the album there is a track titled Hamba. According to Simphiwe the song was recorded just four days before Dumi’s untimely passing. Whenever Simphiwe feels weighed down, she plays the song to lift her spirits up.
“When he played it for me I said to him “you sang this song with your soul” and he said “I was crying when I sang this song” When you listen to the song you can actually hear that he was crying. This song was his goodbye,” Simphiwe said.
