Six years ago, I chose to speak publicly about my loss. I could never have imagined that a platform born from one of the darkest chapters of my life would become intellectual property of my own—and eventually be licensed by our national broadcaster.

Only God could have written this story.

@afterdark_withkayise was inspired by Matthew 5:13–16: the call to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. I have always believed that when we bring truth into the light, we create room for understanding, healing and transformation.

South Africa 🇿🇦 is living through a difficult time. But history reminds us that honest conversation and courageous storytelling can help move a nation forward. Every generation must create the platforms its moment requires.

I believe @afterdark_withkayise has been entrusted to me for such a time as this—not merely to entertain, but to illuminate. To help us speak honestly about who we are, what we have endured and what we must heal, challenge and rebuild.

Today, I honour the woman I was six years ago. She did not know that her courage to speak was laying the foundation for this moment.

I honour every person who trusted me with their story, everyone who helped build this vision and, above all, God, who took my darkest night and entrusted me with a light.

@afterdark_withkayise will be now streaming on @sabcplus from 12 noon. 🇿🇦

This is purpose. This is legacy. This is answered prayer.

And this is only the beginning,” Kayise said.
