The W&R SETA Graduate Programme 2026/2027 is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the workplace by providing structured on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced Health and Safety professionals. Key Responsibilities
• Gain practical workplace experience within the Health and Safety department.
• Support daily administrative activities related to health and safety operations.
• Assist with maintaining health and safety records and documentation.
• Learn and apply workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the Health and Safety Officer on departmental tasks.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
• Participate in training and development activities throughout the programme.
• Develop professional workplace skills through practical exposure.
• Build knowledge of health and safety processes within the pharmaceutical distribution industry.
• Perform additional administrative duties as required by the department.
Requirements and Skills
• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Completed Diploma in Health and Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety or Safety Management.
• Must be an unemployed diploma graduate.
• Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Must not currently be participating in a SETA bursary or learnership programme.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to workplace safety.
Successful candidates will join the W&R SETA Graduate Programme for a period of 12 months at the UPD Cape Town branch in Montague Gardens.
