It is Umthetho premiere day, and already the reception is amazing. One cast member to look out for is Sindi Dlathu who plays Agnes Khoza in the gripping local Netflix crime series.
About Umthetho
Produced by Black Brain Pictures, the seven-to-eight-episode series is a local adaptation of the Brazilian hit thriller Brotherhood. The star studded Umthetho explores complex family loyalty, legal duty, and high-stakes survival. The series follows Mbali, played by Nqobile “Nunu” Khumalo, a skilled young public prosecutor whose world is turned upside down when she discovers that her brother, Moses, played by Tony Kgoroge, is alive and running a ruthless prison syndicate.Their younger brother Sphelele (Given Stuurman) is caught in the middle. Mbali is then forced into an impossible situation where she must choose between the law and her the family.
Star Studded Cast
Beyond its gripping storyline, “Umthetho” brings together some of South Africa’s most recognizable names on one screen. Among them are Obed Baloyi, Ernest Msibi and Molefi Monaisa, alongside Lorcia Cooper-Khumalo, SK Khoza, Lungelo Madondo, Mandla Gaduka and Herald Khumalo.
