Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Multi Skilled Employee will support daily cinema operations across several areas, depending on operational requirements. This includes working at Box Office Sales, Catering Sales, Collections and other guest-facing functions. You may also be required to assist as a Cinema Assistant, Waiter or Popper, making adaptability an important part of the position. You will contribute directly to the overall guest experience by ensuring that products, facilities and service standards remain consistent throughout each shift.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work as a cashier at Box Office Sales, Catering Sales or Collections as required.
• Assist as a Cinema Assistant, Waiter, Popper or in other cinema functions assigned by a supervisor.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ster-Kinekor products, promotions and marketing activities to support effective upselling.
• Ensure cinema presentation standards are maintained, including visible age restrictions, updated synopsis files and neat posters.
• Keep food and beverage product displays neat, attractive and properly maintained.
• Ensure disclaimers and other required information are updated and clearly visible.
• Prepare popcorn, slush and other products according to established quality standards.
• Report any deviations from product quality standards to the relevant supervisor.
• Assist with shift preparation in the area where support is required.
• Protect the quality and integrity of Ster-Kinekor products to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Maintain a neat, professional and presentable appearance at all times.
• Conduct yourself professionally and respectfully as a representative of Ster-Kinekor Theatres.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, kitchen equipment, surrounding areas and counter areas.
• Ensure storerooms meet the required standards.
• Ensure fumigation takes place when required.
• Properly seal, package and store prepared products.
• Complete and submit health and safety reports according to required schedules.
• Follow the correct uniform and preparation standards to protect your safety and the safety of colleagues and guests.
• Support supervisors and colleagues with other operational duties when required.

Requirements and Skills
