Leera Mthethwa Introduces Her Latest Acting Role. Congratulations are in order for Leera Mthethwa,who is currently shinning in a new acting gig. The multi-talented actress is part of the star-studded cast of new show, Stokvel Season.She has just introduced the character she is playing, making viewers all excited.
Leera plays Bathabile Mhlongo, a staunch and loyal member of The Stokvel. Bathabile is described as a a law abiding police officer, a fearless mother and a submissive wife. We can’t wait to see the character in action, brought to life by Leera.
Stokvel Season, follows four women, Mary, Cynthia, Bathabile and Puleng, who have been part of the same stokvel for almost a decade. Their long-standing friendship is tested when Palesa, the niece of one of the members, enters their lives and disrupts the group. Veteran actress Harriet Manamela known for her iconic role as Meikie Maputla in Skeem Saam, plays Mary. There is also the talented Motsoaledi Setumo as Puleng, Nobuhle Mahlasela as Cynthia and Lerato Mahlasela as Palesa.
