Miss South Africa 2021 Runner up Zimi Mabunzi Ventures Into Music. From the moment she competed on the Miss South Africa stage back in 2021, it was evident that Zimi Mabunzi was special. She was not only beautiful, but had brains as well. Now Zimi is showing another side of her, as a talented musician.

Zimi, clinched to fame after becoming runner up at Miss South Africa 2021. Although she didn’t win the crown, she won hearts during the question and answer session. Her question was, “Why do you think it’s important for society to allow transgender women to enter the Miss South Africa competition?” To which Zimi answered, “I honestly don’t think that shouldn’t be a question. As society we really need to release ourselves from the authority that we tend to exercise over other people’s lives. If anything trans women should be here. I believe that every identity should be given the chance to be visible in our society.
Two years back, Zimi became a whole TV personality. She joined The Home Channel hosting a show called, Afrimaxx. Zimi took over from Miss SA 2020 Shudufhadzo. The beauty queen was taking over from media personality Ayanda Thabethe. Other personalities who have been with the show are Pamela Mtanga and most recently Palesa Tembe.
