Leanne Manas Appreciates the Support From Colleagues As She Returns to Work After Surgery. This is Leanne Manas’ first week at work since her ankle ligament reconstruction surgery. Thankfully for her, she has amazing colleagues, who are taking care of her during her recovery.
“What a whirlwind these past six weeks have been. For the first time in a very long time life forced me to slow down and hit pause.
I’ve been back at work for a week now after surgery. There’s still a long road of strengthening and rehab ahead but every day I’m getting a little stronger. And wow… it feels so good to be back doing what I love!!
What has stayed with me most though is the incredible kindness of the people around me. The love and support from family, friends, colleagues and complete strangers has been overwhelming.
I’ve received so many emails and messages from people I’ve never met, wishing me well and telling me what Morning Live and I have meant in their lives. Those messages have touched me deeply and brought tears to my eyes more than once.
One of the people who’s made this first week back so much easier is Mr Tau (Allan). Navigating the corridors of this big building in a moon boot and on crutches isn’t exactly glamorous but he’s been there every step of the way – always with a smile.
You might remember him from my attempts at TikTok dances with him a while back. Somehow he managed to rack up millions of views thanks to my spectacularly bad dance moves. 😂😂 The voice in the background is another gem Mr Cakes @2mirush 🎂🥰 @gopolang_ayeye,” Leanne said in appreciation.
