Herman Mashaba Pledges Money Towards Former Bafana Bafana Coach Shakes Mashaba’s Recovery. Herman Mashaba recently paid a courtesy visit to ailing former Bafana Bafana Coach, Ephraime Shakes Mashaba. The purpose of the visit to offer him and his family support and extends well wishes as he battles illness.
Recently, the family of former Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba pleaded for financial assistance for their father, who has been battling serious health challenges in recent months. The 75-year-old has been diagnosed with prostate cancer while battling TB at the same time.
Among those who heeded the call, is the President of ActionSA Herman Mashaba. The politician and entrepreneur’s visit comes after learning about Mashaba’s ailing condition due to prostate cancer. He then decided to spend time with him and his family to offer support and extend well wishes as he battles the illness. Mashaba has donated R200 000.00 in his personal capacity to support Coach Mashaba’s recovery. He also called on all South Africans to assist Coach Mashaba through all forms of donations.
“Touched by the condition of @BafanaBafana legend Shakes Mashaba, I have pledged R200,000 to the Shakes Mashaba Foundation. I urge all South Africans to support his recovery by donating.
