About the Role

The Health Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining Dis-Chem’s merchandising standards throughout the store while delivering outstanding customer service. You will ensure products are displayed correctly, stock is replenished efficiently and merchandising areas remain neat, organised and compliant with company standards.

This position is well suited to candidates who are physically active, detail oriented and enjoy working in a fast paced retail environment.

What You Will Do

As a Health Merchandiser, your responsibilities will include:

• Replenish merchandise according to business requirements.
• Ensure stock delivered or collected from the storeroom is packed and stored correctly.
• Keep shelves fully stocked with the complete product range.
• Rotate stock using the First In First Out (FIFO) method.
• Assist with regular stocktaking activities.
• Ensure shelves are neat, clean and correctly labelled with accurate pricing.
• Build, replenish and maintain attractive merchandising displays.
• Maintain the daily presentation of merchandise on the shop floor and in the storeroom.
• Assist with back shopping activities.
• Respond to customer stock enquiries and help resolve product availability queries.
• Support store housekeeping and maintain high merchandising standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants should have:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Up to six months of retail experience.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Advantageous Qualifications and Experience

The following will strengthen your application:

• Diploma or degree in a Health related field.
• At least one year of retail experience.
• Knowledge of merchandising standards within the FMCG industry.
• Product and category knowledge.
• Experience using SAP, Unisolv or ZMORE reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate in more than one language.
