Job Overview
The Retail Assistant supports store management with customer service, product presentation, and sales support. You will assist customers on the shop floor, handle transactions, and help maintain store standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times
• Assist customers in finding products and making purchase decisions
• Process sales transactions including cash, card, and other payment methods
• Support product flow from stockroom to sales floor
• Assist with merchandising and store displays
• Follow store layout and presentation guidelines
• Use selling techniques such as upselling and cross selling
• Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping standards in the store
• Support loss prevention and report suspicious activity
• Follow all store policies, procedures, and security standards
• Assist with ticketing and stock verification processes
• Participate in training sessions and product knowledge development
• Learn and use store systems including point of sale tools
• Understand store performance indicators and sales targets
Requirements And Skills
• Grade 12 or Matric certificate
• 0 to 1 year retail experience preferred but not required
• Strong interest in retail, fashion, and customer service
• Good communication skills and positive attitude
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and evenings
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
