Botlhale Boikanyo Announced As the Face of Breaking Down Borders Africa Tour Season II. When she won SA’s Got Talent at just 11 years of age, it was evident that Botlhale Boikanyo was destined for greatness. Over a decade later, she keeps on growing in the industry, with the sky as the only limit.
After SGT, Botlhale established herself as a national treasure with leading roles on shows including e.tv’s ‘Scandal’ and award-winning films ‘The Deal’ and ‘What About the Boys’. The award winning poet and actress is now on to another career win. She has just officially announced that she is the face of travelogue series Breaking Down Borders Africa. Botlhale takes the reins from Paul Modjadji who successfully launched the platform 10 years ago and carved it into a platform that has global reach and impact. Season two of the tour will see the pan-African format focus on Botlhale’s storytelling and poetry.
Season one of Breaking Down Borders toured Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Senegal and five other SADC countries. The new season will kick off in September when the team tour Morocco, Egypt, DRC, Cape Verde, and others.

This year marks 50 years since the 1976 Youth Uprising, a reminder of the power of young voices to shape history. It truly is an honour to lead this journey as a young African woman, while championing the stories, dreams, brilliance and challenges of young people across our continent.
