Shudufhadzo Musida Filled With Immense Gratitude As She Bags A Master’s Degree From Her Dream University

Shudufhadzo Musida Filled With Immense Gratitude As She Bags A Master’s Degree From Her Dream University. Shudufhadzo Musida should definitely share with us what she says i her prayers. Ever since being crowned Miss South Africa in 2020, it has been win after win for her.

In just a couple of years, Shudu became an author with two published books. She became a TV personality, hosting a pan-African magazine show Afrimaxx on The Home Channel. Shudu also started her won podcast, interviewing powerful individuals like Melinda French Gates. Among other things, she is UNFPA‘s Global Champion for Women and Girls, and gets to speak at big events around the world. The beauty queen also inspired many with her education accomplishments. In 2021, she graduated with a BA Honours in International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Now Shudu has just completed her Masters Degree from Colombia University in New Your, USA. What is even more cool is the fact that Shudu wanted to enroll with the university when she was 18 years. After her Matric, she attempted to apply, but never really went ahead with it. In a full circle moment, Shudu is graduating from the very university.

From the age of 8, I dreamed of living in New York.

After matric, I remember starting an application to @columbia but never finishing it. A while later, I received a letter from them encouraging me to complete my application. I still have that letter somewhere in my room.

At 18, just receiving a letter with a New York address from an institution that has shaped some of the world’s most extraordinary minds did not feel real to me. It felt distant. Bigger than me. Almost inaccessible.

And yet, years later, I am now graduating from that very institution with my Master’s degree.

This journey has, by no means, been easy. Those who have followed my journey and listened to the @mindfulmondayspod podcast know some of what this season has required: sacrifice, uncertainty, faith, exhaustion, perseverance , and starting over in many ways.

But today, I stand on the other side of it all filled with gratitude.

Grateful to God. Deeply, deeply grateful to God.
Grateful to my family for carrying me through moments when I could not carry myself.
Grateful to everyone who believed in me even when I was still trying to believe in myself.

It can only be God. 🤍
,” Shudud said in gratitude.
