The cat is now out of the bag, as Ayanda Thabethe has officially been unveiled as Miss Cosmo South Africa 2026. She will represent the country at Miss Cosmo in Xin chào, Vietnam.
A Beauty Queen
Ayanda has always been big on pageantry. She was named Miss South Africa 2022 runner-up on the 13th of August 2022. At the event, Ayanda won the People’s Choice vote. In 2023, she was crowned Miss Supranational South Africa. This saw the beauty queen and TV personality represent South Africa in Poland, where she was placed in the Top 24.
Representing South Africa on the Miss Cosmo stage marks an exciting new chapter in Ayanda’s journey. She is honoured to once again represent her country internationally, carrying with her a deep love for South Africa, a passion for purpose-driven leadership, and a commitment to using her platform to inspire others.

Alongside her work in media, Ayanda founded Crown Confidence, a platform dedicated to helping young women develop confidence, communication skills and leadership. She believes confidence is more than self-belief, it’s the courage to take up space, use your voice and create opportunities for others.
