Ster-Kinekor Theatres Pty Ltd is hiring a Multi Skilled Employee for its Blue Route cinema in Cape Town. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, supporting cinema operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day service across box office, catering and cinema floor activities. You will assist with food preparation, ticket sales, customer engagement and general operational support. Job Overview and Responsibilities
• Work across multiple cinema functions including cashier, box office, catering and cinema assistant duties
• Prepare popcorn, slush and other food items according to quality standards
• Maintain up to date knowledge of cinema products, promotions and offers
• Assist with upselling products and improving customer experience
• Ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment and counters at all times
• Maintain stock integrity and ensure proper storage and packaging of products
• Assist with shift preparation and operational readiness
• Ensure cinema presentation standards are maintained across all areas
• Monitor product quality and report any deviations immediately
• Support health and safety compliance and submit required reports
• Maintain correct uniform standards and professional appearance
• Follow security procedures and operational guidelines at all times
• Ensure storerooms are clean, organised and maintained according to standards
• Assist in handling customer queries and delivering excellent service
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations

Requirements and Skills
• Grade 12 / Matric qualification
• 0 to 1 year experience in a similar role is advantageous
• Basic computer literacy including MS Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal and customer service abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced entertainment environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and operational procedures
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Basic understanding of food preparation and service standards is an advantage
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Commitment to maintaining high customer experience standards
