Role Overview
As a Meeting Room Attendant, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining meeting rooms used by staff and visitors. You will ensure all spaces are clean, organised and fully stocked with necessary supplies. The role requires attention to detail, professionalism and the ability to respond quickly to workplace needs during meetings. You will support a smooth and professional environment for daily corporate operations.
Key Responsibilities
Room Setup and Preparation
- Set up meeting rooms according to booking requirements
- Arrange seating, tables and equipment as needed
- Ensure stationery and materials are available and organised
- Prepare rooms before meetings and reset them after use
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Clean, sanitise and dust meeting rooms regularly
- Ensure rooms remain presentable throughout the day
- Replenish supplies such as water, tissues and stationery
- Maintain a tidy and professional environment at all times
Client and Staff Support
- Greet meeting attendees in a professional manner
- Respond quickly to requests during meetings
- Provide additional supplies when required
- Maintain discretion during confidential meetings
Safety and Reporting
- Report damages, faults or maintenance issues immediately
- Follow all health, safety and hygiene procedures
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely
- Keep meeting areas free of hazards and clutter
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Matric / Grade 12 preferred
Experience
- Previous experience in cleaning, hospitality or office support is advantageous
- Exposure to corporate environments is beneficial
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of AV equipment is an advantage
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
