Basetsana Kumalo Celebrates Her Eldest Son Nathi Turning 21. Everyone who follows Basetsana Kumalo on social media, just knows how big she is on birthdays. As much as she no longer posts on a regular basis, she never misses posting about her loved ones on their special days.
This time around the spotlight is on her firstborn, Nkosinathi Kumalo, who recently turned 21 years. The former beauty queen and media mogul, regards her son as an answered prayer. Basetsana also spoke about how Nathi has positively impacted her life, more so as a firstborn. As for the future, she is hopeful that her son is going to conquer the world, one way or another.
“Twenty one years ago, today, I held you in my arms and it was love at first sight. I had waited and prayed for you for so long, you are an answer to a prayer son, Nkosinathi.
Watching you grow has been one of my greatest joys. You taught me how to be a mother and you remain my teacher in so many ways. I bless the day you were born. Through the ups and downs of life, I am in awe of your courage, your strength, your resilience and your wisdom. You are kind, compassionate, considerate and loving. You see the best in others and celebrate their wins. You carry yourself with dignity and I love the fact that your faith anchors you. You, Mntanam’ are destined for greatness.
At 21, the world will begin to meet you differently. It will ask more of you. It will test you. But it will also open doors you cannot yet imagine. My prayer for you is that you walk into that world grounded in who you are. That you never forget your values, your kindness, your integrity.
