Service Area Assistant Opportunity – Fruit & Veg at Pick n Pay Moffet

Pick n Pay Moffet in the Eastern Cape is seeking a dedicated Service Area Assistant for their Fruit & Veg department. This full-time position focuses on maintaining high standards in product handling, customer service, and store presentation while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stack and store products safely and neatly.
• Merchandise products according to laid down standards.
• Correctly price random weight and loose selling items.
• Verify pricing labels and maintain accuracy.
• Check product quality, rotate stock, and remove expired items.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damage to stock.
• Maintain cold chain standards and monitor temperatures where applicable.
• Follow and enforce security procedures.
• Operate and clean equipment according to company standards.
• Assist and advise customers on product selections and provide courteous service.
• Process customer orders according to correct procedures and service standards.
• Promote products to customers and support sales initiatives.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Must reside close to the store.
• Computer literacy is advantageous.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Conscientious and detail-oriented.
• Customer-minded with strong service skills.
• Ability to handle routine tasks accurately and thoroughly.
• Strong numeracy and execution of process instructions.
