Pebetsi made a mark in the industry when she was cast as Mokgadi Maputla on Skeem Saam. The character started off as a journalist, only to grow as one of the main acts on the popular SABC 1 drama. Mokgadi became this superwoman and wife to Leeto Maputla. Sadly their marriage fell apart with the interference of her in-laws making things even tougher. After some time, Mokgadi had fewer storylines, and eventually the character was no longer getting screen time. This now meant no job for Pebetsi, who then went through some hectic financial crisis.
Pebetsi’s talent can’t go unnoticed for long, and one production has just snatched her. The talented actress and radio personality had her fans all happy this week when she debuted on Mzansi Magic’s popular telenovela, Genesis. Pebetsi debuted on Tuesday, as a no nonsense detective in search of the missing Owethu Hlophe. Already the Sedibeng sisters, Mmarona and Mpumi are prime suspects, given the history they have with the Pastor’s daughter.
