Frontshop Assistant Opportunity at Dis-Chem Kingsburgh Junction – New Store

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited has opened applications for Frontshop Assistants at its new Kingsburgh Junction store in Kingsburgh. Minimum Requirements
You need a Grade 12 Matric or Senior Certificate to qualify. The company accepts candidates with zero to six months of retail experience, which makes this role ideal if you are starting out. One year of retail experience strengthens your application. A certificate in Retail Business Management adds further value. You must be a South African citizen with a clear criminal and credit record.
Key Responsibilities
You will keep shelves fully stocked and neatly presented at all times. You must monitor sell by dates and remove expired items immediately. You will restock merchandise quickly to avoid lost sales and follow up on out of stock queries without delay. Accurate pricing and correct product labels form part of your daily checks. You will also maintain an organised storeroom and assist with stock rotation, stocktaking and back shopping.
At the till point, you will process cash, cards, vouchers and coupons accurately. You must handle exchanges and returns only when authorised. All line voids and price changes require approval from a Frontshop Leader or Retail Store Assistant. You will ensure daily takings remain secure in the till drawer until placed in the drop safe according to company procedures. You must report suspicious behaviour, damaged stock and customer complaints to management immediately.
Customer Service and Performance Standards
You will build professional relationships with customers through friendly and efficient service. The company expects you to meet customer turnover per hour benchmarks. You must stay informed about new products so you can guide customers with confidence. Clear communication and basic arithmetic skills are essential for handling transactions accurately. You also take responsibility for your work quality and escalate issues when necessary.
Working Conditions and Benefits
