Applications Open for the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations Internship Programme 2026. The vision of the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) is to qualify a skilled and capable workforce. The QCTO is a Council established under the Skills Development Act for standards generation and quality assurance for all occupational qualifications.

The QCTO is looking for a highly motivated, competent, and professional individual to fill the following position:

Registry

Job Purpose

  • To render records management, postal and courier services.

Key Functions:

  • Receiving documents for filing, safe custody and opening of the files according to the QCTO approved file plan
  • Ensure staff members allocate correct reference numbers to the submission according to approved file plan
  • Creation of new files on Enterprise Content Management.
  • Uploading/scanning of new records to the Enterprise Content Management as received from various units.
  • Assist users with retrieval of files from Enterprise Content Management.
  • Identification records due for disposal and draft submission for approval.
  • Listing of records for destruction, executing destruction process.
  • Receiving, sorting and recording of incoming mail and courier parcels.
  • Recording and dispatching outgoing courier parcels/documents.

Finance

Job Purpose

  • Assist in rendering Asset management clerical tasks

Key Functions:

  • Update and maintain asset register.
  • Identify and administer redundant, non-serviceable and obsolete movable assets for disposal.
  • Assist in ensuring that asset movement forms are completed.
  • Assist in conducting stocktakes, inspections and disposals.

Job Requirements

  • A recognized National Diploma at NQF Level 6 in Finance Management or Management Accounting

Required Competencies: 

  • Computer literacy in Ms Excel, Word (Basic) and outlook. 
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.  Other requirements:
  • Unemployed South African citizens between 18 and 35 years.
  • South Africans who are in possession of a minimum of a National Diploma at NQF level 6.
  • No working experience required.
  • People living with disabilities, Whites, Colored and Indians are encouraged to apply.
  • Preference will be given to applicants residing within Gauteng Province.
  • You must not have participated in any other internship programme.
