Job Overview
AVI Limited is recruiting a Supply Chain In service Trainee for its National Brands Durban Tea business unit. The role is based at the Westmead Biscuits factory in Pinetown. The contract runs for twelve months. The start date is 1 January 2026. Applications close on 17 December 2025.

AVI Limited manages leading South African brands across beverages, biscuits, snacks, frozen foods, personal care, cosmetics, shoes, accessories and fashion apparel. National Brands Limited operates five manufacturing sites in Isando, Rosslyn, Westmead and Durban. The Durban operation produces well known tea, coffee and creamer products as well as sweet and savoury biscuits and snacks.

Role Purpose
The trainee will gain practical exposure to FMCG supply chain activities. You will work with inbound logistics, supply chain processes and daily factory procedures. You will engage in real operational tasks that build your confidence and technical ability. You will receive guidance from the On site Logistics Manager and take part in activities that improve supply chain performance.

Minimum Requirements
A two year diploma in supply chain or logistics that still requires one year of in service training
A minimum of 70 percent average in your final year of study
Strong computer literacy
Ability to work irregular hours
Clear verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to take initiative
Basic project management and data analysis ability
