Shop Assistant and Cashier Opportunity at Clicks Lambton Germiston

Clicks Group is seeking a Shop Assistant / Cashier for their Lambton store in Germiston. This permanent role offers hands-on experience in retail and FMCG operations, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting point-of-sale activities. The position provides an opportunity to develop skills in customer engagement, sales, and operational efficiency within one of South Africa’s leading health and beauty retailers.

The primary objective of the role is to ensure smooth operations at the point of sale while creating a positive shopping experience. You will be responsible for accurate scanning and payment collection, promoting the Clicks clubcard, and informing customers of promotions to enhance sales. Acting as a brand ambassador, you will represent Clicks professionally while assisting with merchandising and maintaining store standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchases accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
• Ensure safe handling of cash and adherence to POS procedures
• Promote and enroll customers in the Clicks clubcard program to meet participation targets
• Inform customers about ongoing promotions to increase sales
• Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, professional, and visible on the shop floor
• Maintain merchandising standards, store presentation, and general housekeeping
• Stay updated on products, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers
• Support the company’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer
