Nomcebo Zikode Goes All Out for Her 40th Birthday Celebration. The past couple of months haven’t been easy for Nomcebo Zikode. She recently lost her legal case against Open Mic Productions. This comes after years of fighting for her rights on the Jerusalema hit song. The court ordered Nomcebo to deliver two albums to the production company before she is released from her contract.
Just a few months after that, the Grammy award winning artist showed the world that nothing can bring her down. Nomcebo joined the female celebrities with luxury cars, by getting herself a cool Bentley. When showing off her car, she stated that she is living the life she has prayed for.
On to more beautiful news, Nomcebo recently gathered with family and friends to celebrate 40 Years of an adventurous life. Hosted at the breathtaking Divine Sunset, the premier event venue owned by renowned skincare entrepreneur Portia M, the evening unfolded against a backdrop of golden-hour sunsets and lush, serene landscapes — spaces synonymous with curating unforgettable moments for South Africa’s elite. Divine Sunset, known for its opulent yet grounded ambiance, provided the perfect canvas for Nomcebo to reflect on four decades of an adventurous life, from her humble beginnings as a backing vocalist to becoming a global force in music.
The lady of the moment looked all radiant in a custom-designed luxe Otiz Seflo dress that evoked timeless elegance. She shared heartfelt moments with her husband and their children, as well as a select circle of industry peers and lifelong supporters. The night featured a decadent dining experience, with dishes adorned with symbolic motifs of her career highs, crafted by celebrated chef Connie Shandu, CEO of Dandozest.
The host of the night was Nomcebo’s lookalike Masechaba Mposwa as well as another established entertainer Aaron Moloisi. The program opened with a deeply spiritual prayer led by South African gospel and Afro-music artist/music executive Ntethe Mposwa, setting a tone of reverence and gratitude. The likes of legendary maskandi artist Mbuzeni, Pearl Thusi, Lady Du, TorQue and Khaya Dladla, took care of the entertainment. Nomcebo joined the stage for spontaneous sing-alongs.
