Job Overview
The role focuses on providing efficient pharmaceutical care services and maintaining operational excellence in the dispensary. The Pharmacist Assistant will work under the supervision of a qualified pharmacist to ensure compliance with Clicks’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Job Objectives
- Deliver high standards of customer service and care
- Manage stock control and administration, including repacking medicines
- Handle dispensary administration efficiently
- Ensure accurate compounding of medicines
- Provide general health advice to customers
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and merchandise display
- Support ad hoc operational requirements as needed
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric with Mathematics (Essential)
- Must meet Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) requirements for the relevant Pharmacist Assistant level (Qualified, Post Basic, or Learner Basic)
Skills and Knowledge
- Sound knowledge of health and OTC products
- Familiarity with SAPC regulations and other relevant legal frameworks
- Strong customer service orientation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic pharmaceutical calculations
- Knowledge of MS Office and IT business systems
- Ethical approach and strong sense of integrity
