Vatiswa Ndara Shares An Important Update Regarding the Release of Her Book

Vatiswa Ndara Shares An Important Update Regarding the Release of Her Book. Friday 31st October is the day that many have been waiting for with baited breath. Not because it’s Halloween, nope, only because Vatiswa Ndara is dropping her highly anticipated book titled, UNFILTERED.
Six years ago, Vatiswa put herself out there by writing an open letter to the then Minister of Arts, Sports and Culture, the late Nathi Mthethwa. The veteran actress asked the Minister to intervene in the cases of actors getting what they are worth. She spoke about unfair contractual agreements and expectations, poor remuneration, unfair treated by producers, poor oversight by channel, bullying and intimidation. In the letter Vatiswa used her case with the Fergusons as an example to make her point. She claimed that she was offered R110k before taxes over five weeks of work with no limit to calls.
This saw Vatiswa get cancelled in the industry. Since then, she has never gotten an acting gig, despite her talent and experience. No production company is keen to touch Vatiswa, who also acted on major shows like Gaz’lam, Nomzamo, Tsha Tsha, It’s Complicated, Mfolozi Street, Mtunzini.com, Muvhango, Igazi, Generations and Home Affairs. It has been so sad seeing such talent vanish into thin air.
Well, Vatiswa is not the one to be silenced, and she decided to make a comeback through a book. Originally launched in 2022, UNFILTERED, takes on showbiz to expose a world fraught with exploitation, injustice and silenced truths. The book was supposed to be released today online and on digital platforms. Due to unforeseen circumstances, UNFILTERED‘s release is facing a slight delay. Vatiswa has however, assured readers that the book might be available later in the day, and availability may vary from platform to platform.
