Lekau Sehoana Returns With A New Sneaker Brand. He made a name for himself as a renowned entrepreneur after the success of DRIP footwear brand. Lekau Sehoana began his journey in 2019, from humble beginnings, with nothing but talent and dreams. Within time, DRIP, became a household name, with stores opening all over the country.
As the business grew, challenges also mushroomed. Eventually, the going got tough, and DRIP got liquidated. This saw closure of over 25 Retail Shops and loss of hundreds of jobs. Lekau made headlines, with many people mocking his downfall. He was critiqued for opening many stores, associating with celebrities, living the high life and all sorts of things. His personal life also got in the mix, as dirty laundry was aired in public.
The dream as an entrepreneur was not lost for Lekau though. Post that he took a break and attended multiple commission of enquiries. Later on Lekau served as CEO of a Supermarket Startup, which was most recently taken over by former P’nP franchisees. This goes on to show that, he is into business, with every fiber in his body.
Now Lekau is back, with yet another sneaker brand. He has just launched KITE, which has been received well by sneaker heads. Lekau comes into this new venture with all the experience, lessons and maturity.
“6 Years ago i founded a Brand called DRIP, after 5 years of successful trading and hundreds of jobs created, later it got liquidated. Yesterday i launched my new brand called KITE SA.
KITE is a brand that i look at and think growth and maturity. While also having fun and introspecting into what we have done wrong and how to learn from that,” Lekau introduced his new baby.
