Driver: Light Duty Opportunity at Europcar Sandton

Europcar Sandton, part of the Motus Corporation, is looking for a dedicated Light Duty Driver to join its team. This permanent position is based in Sandton, Johannesburg, and offers an entry-level opportunity for individuals with relevant driving experience. Applications close on 5 November 2025.

Role Overview
The Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, ensuring each rental meets Europcar’s quality standards. The role combines driving, vehicle maintenance, and customer interaction, requiring reliability, attention to detail, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, both interior and exterior, to high company standards.
• Perform vehicle quality checks, identifying and reporting issues such as expired licenses or defects.
• Refuel vehicles and check tyre pressure, oil, water, and other fluid levels after each rental.
• Deliver vehicles to customers following Europcar procedures.
• Handle vehicle check-ins according to company, quality control, and claims protocols.
• Maintain yard and surrounding areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Act ethically to protect company assets and customer interests.
• Perform additional duties as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant driving experience.
• Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license, held for at least 2 years.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Fully bilingual with effective communication skills in English.
• Ability to read maps and navigate efficiently.

Work Conditions
The role may require working weekends, shifts, or overtime as needed. The successful candidate must be reliable, punctual, and adaptable to varying schedules.
