10 Interesting Facts About Miss South Africa 2025 Qhawekazi Mazaleni.

1. Qhawekazi Mazaleni is a 24-year-old young woman from the Eastern Cape.

2. She is big on education and holds a degree in speech, language, and hearing therapy from Stellenbosch University. Currently she is pursuing her Master’s in speech language pathology at the University of Pretoria with a focus on autism.

3. Qhawe is also a published author. She has published a children’s book in isiXhosa to promote early language development. She also aims to expand educational resources in indigenous languages.

4. The beauty queen entered her first beauty pageant at her Beaconhurst High School in East London, where she was crowned First Princess.

5. She then went on to enter Miss SA 2025 because she is committed to bridging gaps in education. Qhawe believed that winning the crown will allow her to lay the foundation for work that will continue beyond the crown

6. On Saturday 25th October, Qhawe’s dreams came true, as she got crowned the new Miss South Africa. Luyanda Zuma was named first princess, while Karabo Mareka took the second princess spot.

7. For the win, Qhawe will receive a cash prize of 1-million-rand, a luxurious fully furnished apartment for her year of reign, and other sponsorships and gifts.

8. Pageantry runs in the family, with Qhaqw’s big sister Homba Mazaleni, having laid the foundation. Homba placed in the top 5 in the 2023 Miss SA competition.

9. The new Miss South Africa is fluent in isiXhosa, English and Afrikaans and is now learning Sepedi and isiZulu.

10. Other fun facts about Qhaqw include running her first half-marathon last year, crocheting her own clothes and trying new recipes in the kitchen. She also looks up to actress and model Gale Mabalane and American celebrity Keke Palmer.
