Role Purpose
The Sales Assistant will engage customers, maximize sales opportunities, and ensure that the store environment is appealing and functional. This role requires a proactive individual who can build relationships with customers while adhering to stock controls and store procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service and Sales

• Exceed customer expectations by practicing customer selling techniques
• Identify opportunities to increase turnover and meet individual targets consistently
• Establish professional relationships and provide friendly, helpful, and courteous assistance
• Attend to customer stock queries and resolve issues efficiently
• Report customer compliments and complaints to management

Stock and Transactions

• Adhere to stock loss controls and ensure outgoing stock is scanned and paid for
• Transact all purchases, including cash, cards, vouchers, coupons, and loyalty cards
• Maintain accurate stock records and assist in stock management processes

Store Standards and Visual Merchandising

• Maintain housekeeping and uphold visual merchandising standards to optimize sales
• Create an inspiring and engaging store environment
• Support promotional activities and ensure products are presented attractively

Minimum Requirements

• Matric or equivalent
• Up to 6 months of retail experience

• Knowledge of current clothing trends and outdoor lifestyle
• Effective communication skills
