Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities
Production
- Follow weekly production plans to meet sales targets and minimize waste
- Prepare sushi according to established recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
Sales, Turnover, and Gross Margin
- Ensure promotional lines are prepared and ready in coordination with the Sushi Chef
- Support initiatives to increase sales and maximize profitability
Administration
- Assist with monthly stocktakes
- Conduct daily waste scanning to minimize losses
- Maintain accurate records of stock and production
Food Safety
- Adhere strictly to food safety procedures
- Maintain hygiene standards in all areas of the sushi department
- Ensure cold chain compliance to preserve product freshness
- Prevent cross-contamination during food preparation
Self-Management
- Demonstrate Pick n Pay values consistently
- Stay informed about relevant legislation and industry developments
- Take accountability for assigned tasks and responsibilities

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Interest in food preparation and customer service
