Liquideep Is Back!

At the heart of BloemFeast is Liquideep, the trailblazing house duo whose timeless sound shaped an entire era of South African music. Made up of producer Ziyon and DJ/producer Ryzor, Liquideep rose to prominence in the late 2000s, becoming a defining force in soulful house with hits like “Fairytale”“Alone”, and “Settle for Less.” Their music wasn’t just popular—it became the soundtrack of a generation, echoing through clubs, radio, and living rooms across the country.

After stepping away from the stage in 2014, the pair left a gap in the scene that fans have long felt. Now, more than a decade later, their return to South Africa—and to Bloemfontein for the first time since 2012—marks a rare and powerful moment of reunion between artist and audience. On 15 November 2025, BloemFeast will welcome Liquideep back to the spotlight, where their velvet-smooth melodies and deep grooves will once again set the rhythm for the nation.

But their comeback doesn’t end there. Just two weeks later, Liquideep will take the stage again at Mayonie Open Air on 30 November 2025 at Constitution Hill, another landmark moment in their return.

Speaking about this upcoming performance, Zakes Bantwini shared his reflections on their impact:

“As an artist, a curator, and a believer in the power of music to shape culture, I have always dreamt of creating moments that transcend time. That is exactly why the return of Liquideep to the stage at Mayonie Open Air on 30 November 2025 at Constitution Hill is not just an announcement—it is history in motion.

For more than a decade, Liquideep gave us anthems that became the soundtrack to our lives—BBM, Fairytale, Alone, Rise Again, Settle for Less. Songs that defined a generation, that carried the heartbeat of Afro House and soul across dance floors and radio waves, and that reminded us how music can unite us in love and rhythm.

Their comeback now, at this precise moment, is about more than nostalgia. It is about honouring a legacy, reintroducing a sound that shaped us, and showing how timeless music continues to inspire future generations.

To stand alongside Liquideep on stage is an honour and a full circle moment since our Channel O Music Awards performance in 2012. They have always been more than artists; they are visionaries who brought depth and feeling to South African house music when it was most needed.

On 30 November, Constitution Hill will not just host a concert. It will witness a movement: one night where we connect past, present, and future, and prove to the world that South African music is not only alive but leading the global rhythm.

Together, these two performances — BloemFeast on 15 November and Mayonie Open Air on 30 November — signal a full-circle return for Liquideep, reminding South Africa (and the world) why their sound is timeless and their legacy enduring.
