Simphiwe Ngema Returns to Acting With A Cool Movie Role. It goes without saying that Simphiwe Ngema is one of the best actresses we have in the country. Having noted that though, it has been a minute since we have seen her do her thing in front of the camera. This could be that she was busy with other projects, or gigs were not coming along.
Whatever the case, fans should be happy that the talented actress is back. Simphiwe has been cast i a new movie titled, Cop and A Half. The movie takes us into a mismatched cop duo taking the crime-fighting scene by storm in a typical action-comedy way. When a by-the-book cop is reluctantly paired with a smooth-talking informant, sparks fly as they navigate the treacherous underworld of drug trafficking. With unlikely camaraderie, they pursue a ruthless gang of drug dealers, leaving chaos and laughter in their wake.
These police officers are none other than Jonathan Boynton-Lee and Trevor Gumbi. The star studded movie also stars heavyweights like Mothati Moshesh, Jack Devnarain, Thulani Mtsweni and Noxolo Dlamini. Although Simphiwe didn’t say much about her character, it seems like she plays Jonathan’s onscreen partner. Cop and A Half premiers today, Wednesday 20th on Prime Video.
