Sphamandla Dhludhlu Makes A Comeback With A Lead Role In A New Netflix Series. The industry is quite ruthless, and many of our talented entertainers are with no jobs. Hence why, it’s always heartwarming to see familiar faces still in the game.
One actor, who many will be happy that he is back with a bang is Sphamandla Dhludhlu. He hasn’t been in the game for sometime, but now he is back. The talented actor has been cast on Marked, a star studded Netflix series. He is cast alongside Lerato Mvelase, Mduduzi Mabaso, Bonko Khoza, Natasha Thahane, Sdumo Mtshali and Ama Qamata.
“How far is too far? This month , Netflix releases the emotionally charged trailer for Marked, an explosive 6-part series set to premiere on the 31st of July 2025. Fuelled by necessity, not greed, Marked tells the story of crossing moral lines out of love and fear when the system leaves good people with no good choices,” Sphamandla said.
Sphamandla has been in the industry fro a decade. He made his television acting debut with a cameo in the e.tv polygamy drama series Umlilo, in 2015. He followed this up with a recurring role as a nurse called John on the SABC1 soapie Generations: The Legacy. One of his biggest roles was in the e.tv soapie Rhythm City as Themba, the brother of Suffocate (Mduduzi Mabaso). The character was killed off in 2017 by Suffo’s wife Niki (played by Nolo Phiri).
Sphamandla has also played Mavusana on the 1Magic soapie The River. Some of his other shows include, Isithembiso, iKhaya, Thandeka’s Diary, The Station and Legacy.
