Shudufhadzo Musida On Overcoming the Challenges of Being A Podcaster

Shudufhadzo Musida On Overcoming the Challenges of Being A Podcaster. A few days back, she announced the launch of her own podcast called, Mindful Mondays with Shudu. This is a continuation from Shudufhadzo Musida’s Mindful Monday posts, she used to share religiously on her Instagram.
A lot of our celebrities have started their own podcasts, but seldom share the difficulties they encounter along the way. Shudu was gracious enough, to let us in on her journey towards establishing her podcast. Just like any other project, starting Mindful Mondays with Shudu was quite the challenge. The former Miss SA, TV personality, author and activist had to adapt to unforeseen circumstances. For starters, the podcast was shot in different countries, making the logistics a bit challenging for the host. She also had to deal with different people, and sometimes facing harsh rejection.
“This podcast taught me how important it is to adapt. Getting to the starting line was hard. So much changed along the way — the structure, the timing, the people, even the countries I was living in. And with every shift, I had to adjust. I had to learn not to take “no” personally or get stuck in what should’ve been,” Shudu said.
The good thing though is that she found ways to navigate through the challenges. Shudu focused on her vision, and adapted to any change that came along.
“The truth is, your plans won’t always work out the way you imagined. But that doesn’t mean the vision is lost. It just means you have to be willing to move. We’re not trees. If something’s not working, you can get up, replant, and try again — somewhere else, in a new way.
So many of the episodes this season are a reminder of that. Of the beauty in shifting. The growth that comes when you’re willing to let go of how you thought it would go,” she added.
