Dr Musa Mthombeni knows this very well, as he lost his best friend Akhumzi Jezile in 2018. Although this happened even years ago, the loss is still unbearable.

Akhumzi, died in a car crash on April 28, 2018, with his three friends in Aliwal North, near Komani. The news shocked not only his family and friends, but thousands of people as well. This is because, Akhumzi was well known as a media personality, producer and actor. His talent, passion and dedication made him stand the test of time in the industry.Akhumzi was part of a solid brotherhood, and became great friends with the likes of Musa Mthombeni, Andile Ncube and Clement Maosa among others.

His friendship with Musa, spanned for 11 years, and the two gave us epic friendship vibes. Akhumzi’s death affected Musa, but for the most part, he celebrates his friend’s life, the best way he can. The child star and medical doctor has also shared that Akhumzi’s passing has impacted how he lives his life. Seeing how short life is, Musa doesn’t conform to people’s expectations of him. He daily chooses happiness, because tomorrow is not guaranteed. Well, those who criticize his online content, will have to be strong, because Musa is not about to change what he posts anytime soon.

“Death reminds us that Life is short. Live YOUR way, not for others’ acceptance or approval. Since losing my friend in 2018, I do this daily! Choose happiness & experience any version of it now – tomorrow isn’t guaranteed,” Musa said.
