Inside Botlhale Boikanyo’s Epic Solo New York Vacation. She is becoming a globetrotter of note. Every now and then Botlhale Boikanyo packs her bag, to embark on a vacation. Just this past May, she went to Durban with her mom for her 24th birthday celebration. The girls had massive fun, exploring the KwaZulu Natal tourist attraction city.
Now Botlhale is all the way in New York. This is her first international solo trip and so a big part of her was so nervous but also so excited to explore NYC and figure it all alone. Among other cool places, Botlhale checked out Summit One, Times Square, Central Park, Rooftop Cinema and top Restaurants. As per norm, the award winning poet, actress and content creator, is documenting her trip, for her ever supportive social media family. Already Botlhale’s solo NYC travel vlog is live on her YouTube channel, with great engagements from viewers.
This is not Botlhale’s first time in New York. At the tender age of thirteen she performed her poems at the Legacy of Hope Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital campaign inauguration in New York. Her message led her to the recording of Africa my Pride, which was turned into music by Malambule from Native Rhythms Productions. A year ago, she found herself back in the US, as a 2024 Mandela Washington Fellow. Now Botlhale is not there for work or school, but for absolute fun!
