Elsa Majimbo Grilled for Some of the Things She Says She Misses About South Africa. There are a number of international celebrities who regard South Africa as home. This is because of the massive love they get when they are here. One such is Elsa Majimbo, who has been in the country for a number of times.
The Kenyan-born internet sensation became famous over a very short period of time. Elsa gained recognition in early 2020 during the COVID-19 quarantine period by making home-based comedy videos. Among her many accomplishments include being crowned ‘African Social Star Of 2020’ at the E! People’s Choice Awards. She is also celebrated immensely here in South Africa. Elsa was also awarded ‘Entertainer Of The Year; by GQ South Africa at the Men of the Year Awards the same year.
Because of her fame, Elsa has been around the likes of Beyonce at major events. Aside from hanging with well known international celebrities, Elsa also has also rubbed shoulders with some of South Africa’s prominent personalities. She regards Black Coffee as her best friend, and the two linked up when she was in the country about four years ago. While in the country, the Grammy award winning DJ gave Elsa a gift, from his Off White store.
Elsa has always let it be known that she loves SA. Elsa also has a strong fan base here, ranging from celebrities to ordinary people. She just took to X, to share how she misses being here.
“I miss living in South Africa so much. I miss Groove, I miss watching ppls phones get stolen in real time, I miss biltong and Braai and Savanna. One of the best stages of my life,” Elsa said.
Many, though, did not take kindly to what she said about SA.
