Big Zulu On the One Time He Lied to AKA and Cassper Nyovest. AKA and Cassper have had by far the biggest beef in the local Hip Hop scene. They dissed each other in hit songs, dragged each other on Facebook, and even took each other on at events. If you were not team Cassper, you were definitely on AKA’s side.

Some people in the industry, tried to get them together, but not much worked. There was a time though, when the two artists were on the same team in a football match. The annual Celebrity Football Tournament, sees local musicians show off their football playing skills.

The tournament caught public attention in 2022, after a clip of AKA and Cassper Nyovest giving each other a high five in celebration of Nyovest’s goal went viral on social media. That bit of publicity helped garner widespread attention for the past year’s tournament with huge crowds at the stadium coming to watch. A year ago, four teams, being gospel, hip-hop, maskandi and gqom teams did their utmost best at the tournament. The initiative was bigger and better with many major sponsors, which included SABC Sport.

Being in the same industry Big Zulu, is among the people, who tried to get Cassper and AKA to make peace. As one of the Celebrity Football Tournament, he got the two rappers to be on the same team. Big Zulu lied to Cassper that AKA was coming early and would have long gone before Cass gets on the pitch. Little did they know that they will be on the same team.
