Just the other day, one of the original cast members, Nonku Williams revealed that she has left the show, and won’t be returning for season 5 reunion.
Nonku formed close bonds with Jojo Robinson, a friendship that is still going on four years later. This season though, viewers can’t help but notice that the two are a bit distant. Jojo is getting closer to other ladies, mostly Angela and Londie London. Nonku on the other hand is growing her bond with Beverley Steyn. This has led fans speculating that Joku friendship is over.
Responding to this, Jojo shared on her Instagram, that the narrative that some people have about her is not true. She made it clear that she is allowed to be with who she wants. Jojo also added that she and Nonku need space at the moment.
“This narrative that anyone can TAKE ME implies I am merely property.. I am a Human that loves easily, I find good in everyone and I Choose who to allow into my life.. shit isn’t easy for me at the moment but with the nature of tv I cant share anything right now.. I also don’t know anything right now… I would prefer that my friendships be allowed SPACE TO BREATH.. ITS A LOT GUYS.. I need to figure shit out… I’ve been in a friendship that has been under constant scrutiny from the public for years.. we BOTH need some time and some grace please allow us both that and don’t assume anything right now,” she said.
