David Tlale’s Amazing Creativity Showcased Through Film. His story remains one of the most inspirational in the fashion world. David Tlale has made waves in the fashion industry with his bold vision to revolutionize the African fashion scene and revive the local clothing and textile industry. The renowned fashion designer has definitely changed the narrative around African fashion.
Throught his career Tlale has dressed some of the recognized celebrities around the world. Just a couple of weeks back, he dressed Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe at the Met Gala 2025. The likes of Billy Porter, Bonang Matheba, Lesotho’s Queen Masenate Seeiso and Sarah Jakes Roberts are among the stars who have been dressed by Tlale.
He recently got recognized by Meta Africa, as one of the 6 creatives from the continent doing amazing things. Tlale story was captured by the multi-talented Ofentse Mwase in a short film. Others on the list are Lisa Naa Quama Darko, LADIPOE, Gilbert Asante and Fatboy Animations.
