Applications Open for the Icebolethu Group Casual Catering Drivers Posts (X6). Icebolethu Group is currently in search of a Driver within the Catering Division of Icebolethu Group to be based at Empangeni X1, Estcourt X1, Hammarsdale X1, Kokstad X1, Pongola X1 and UmlaziX1. The successful candidates will be required to perform tasks and responsibilities supporting the Catering activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12.
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license
• Valid PDP.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a driver
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items
• Must have experience in towing trailers (2.5m wide)
• Good local areas and road knowledge
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Skills:

• Excellent Customer service skills
• Excellent Communication skills
• Good Driving skills
• Knowledge of local roads
• Basic computer skills, including using a GPS System

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safe and efficient collection and delivery of staff and equipment to the worksite and back.
• Consistently punctual and arrives on or before appointments.
• Courteously and professionally interacts with bereaved family members; exhibits sensitivity to environment; minimizes conversation.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer enquiries, maintaining a professional image.
• Adherence to all traffic laws and regulations
• Ensures vehicle is clean and well maintained
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects
• Upon return, offload vehicle and place all equipment in appropriate storage areas.
• Maintains assigned vehicle (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure, etc.) to ensure safe operation of vehicle
• Fuels vehicles as necessary. Follows road safety guidelines. Follows expenditure processes.
• Identifies vehicle engine or operating issues to management; drives vehicles for repair or inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
