Muvhango Actors Share Touching Views As the Drama Comes to An End

Muvhango Actors Share Touching Views As the Drama Comes to An End. In the past years there has been rumors of the drama getting canned, salary payment disputes as well as production breaks. This time around though, it has been confirmed that Muvhango is officially coming to an end.
The SABC2 drama, has been on air for a good 28 years ago. As soon as Muvhango hit South African screens, the game changed. Tshivenda, one of the countries marginalized languages, took the spotlight and hearts followed. For almost three decades Muvhango introduced us to a crop of new talented actors. It also cast some legends in the game, the latest being Leleti Khumalo, Obed Baloyi, Macks Papo, Gabisile Tshabalala, Nicholas Nkuna, Kagiso Rakosha, Kea Leburu, Bohang Moeko among many others.
Sadly even great things come to an end, and so has Muvhango. As sad as it is, the show’s creator and executive producer Duma ka Ndlovu is grateful for the opportunity. He stated that Muvhango gave an opportunity to an ignored language that has become one of the most celebrated languages in South Africa now. Ndlovu takes it a privilege and an honour to create moments on television, where marginalized languages were at the centre of it all.
