“It’s A Painful Reminder That Our Mothers Are No Longer With Us,” Lasizwe On Mother’s Day

“It’s A Painful Reminder That Our Mothers Are No Longer With Us,” Lasizwe On Mother’s Day. On Sunday, mothers around the world were celebrated by their family members and loved one. Whether you are a mom biologically, through surrogacy, a step mother, or a female guardian, you definitely felt special from all the love you received.

Sadly for many people, the day brought about the painful reality of death. There are those whose mothers passed away, and Mother’s Day doesn’t really mean a thing. One of those is Lasizwe Dambuza. The media personality, content creator and all round entertainer lost his mother in 2016, when he was only 18 years. Lindiwe Dambuza, was a 40-year-old nurse at Lesedi Private Hospital, and passed away after being diagnosed with a heart problem.

As many celebrated Mother’s Day, Lasizwe shared the effects the day has to those who lost their mothers. He gave a shout out to those who lost mothers, but also acknowledged the difficulty of it all.

Shoutout to ‘us’ that made it through today. A day that’s supposed to be celebratory towards one woman who gave birth to ‘us’. But for ‘us’, today is just a painful reminder that our ‘mothers are no longer with us in the flesh,” he said.

In 2020, Lasizwe also lost his father, Menzi Mcunu. The two had an on and off relationship, and a few months prior to Mcunu‘s passing, he opened about about how having an absent father affected him. Lasizwe revealed that he had to seek professional help in order to deal with the pain.

Lasizwe has always shared how the death of his parents has impacted his life. At the beginning of the year, he shared touching content of himself visiting his mother’s grave.
